Pensacola, Fla. (July 26, 2016) – Studer Group, a Huron Healthcare solution, announced the winner of the company’s inaugural Quint Studer Difference Maker Award. The recipient of the award, Dr. Glenn D. Pascual, DHSc, MBA, eMHL MSN, OCN, CPXP, BSN, RN, Director of Operations and Director of Hospital Service at Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills Medical Center, was chosen from more than 220 nominations.
The Quint Studer Difference Maker Award celebrates the enduring legacy of Quint Studer, founder of Studer Group, whose vision and passion to make healthcare a better place for everyone continues to inspire excellence in others. The award was created to honor an individual who embodies the extraordinary personal and professional values and passion that make a difference in healthcare.
Individuals from across the healthcare industry were encouraged to nominate a peer or colleague, regardless of their title or role within their healthcare organization. Dr. Glenn Pascual, this year’s award winner, received four nominations from four separate individuals within his organization.
“Dr. Glenn is known as the ‘Little Quint Studer of Kaiser Permanente,’” said Jennifer Paragas, one of Dr. Pascual’s colleagues. “He developed 14 evidence-based care experience interventions that paved the way for our [Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills Medical Center] HCAHPS to move from [the] 45th to 82th percent. We are blessed to have Glenn in Kaiser Permanente as he is the most passionate, service-driven, patient-focused leadership servant we’ve ever had. His passion to service is contagious. Dr. Glenn is known by most patients in the medical center. [Even] with his busy day, he manages to round on 4-5 units a day. He is a true leader of quality and service.”
