Getting Physicians to Follow the Metrics - An Interview with Dr. Gurpreet Dhaliwal

Meaningful stories are a powerful way to engage physicians in measuring and improving their performance, says Gurpreet Dhaliwal, MD, a faculty member at the University of California San Francisco. Dhaliwal came to that conclusion after being inspired by a 2010 New England Journal of Medicine article by David Ring, MD, in which the physician admitted his own error in performing surgery on the wrong hand of a patient.
