Darryl is a dynamic healthcare leader with a passion for designing systems that deliver exceptional patient care. He has 30 years of experience in clinical operations and professional practice across a variety of services. Darryl has a successful track record of leading teams in both the public and private sectors. Darryl has demonstrated ability to work in teams, and he is a committed community volunteer. Professional Experience

Prior to joining Huron and Studer Group, Darryl was Chief Nursing Executive and Associate Vice President at William Osler Health System in Brampton Ontario, with corporate responsibility across the organization’s three hospital sites for the strategy and operations of the Emergency Department, Pharmacy, Oncology, Palliative Care, Mental Health & Addictions, Professional Practice, Quality, Ethics, Infection Prevention and Control and Spiritual Care. Prior to this role, Darryl held leadership roles atTrillium Health Partners in Mississauga and The Centre for Addiction & Mental Health in Toronto.

Signature Engagements

  • Led the design of an organizational framework and five-year action plan to guide Quality, Safety and Practice for William Osler Health System
  • Past Board Chair – George Hull Centre for Children & Families
  • Co-chaired the Provincial Governance Advisory Council for Children’s Mental Health Ontario
  • Acknowledged by Cancer Care Ontario (CCO) for excellent achievement: Ontario Breast Cancer Screening Program “Top Performance in the Province” for exceeding the provincial annual improvement target; & Lung Rapid Assessment and Diagnosis Clinic – “meeting the annual improvement target” for referral to diagnosis within 28 days
  • Project Manager for CAMH’s successful application to the Research Hospital Fund from the Canadian Foundation for Innovation – $38.6 million. Facilitated the design and writing of the proposal, ensured congruence with the research functional plan and CAMH redevelopment master plan, as well as the organizational and program strategic plans
  • Led the development of the “National Award of Excellence in Mental Health Quality Improvement” for the Canadian College of Health Leaders
