Sacred Heart Hospital's Journey
Founded in 1889 by the Hospital Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis, Sacred Heart Hospital is a 344 bed acute care, regional medical facility providing basic and specialty services for both inpatients and outpatients. The hospital features leading-edge technology, backed by a world-class medical staff to treat injury and illness. However, it takes much more than just medical expertise and technology to achieve organizational excellence. Learn how Sacred Heart Hospital's planning and focus took it to the top 1% in the nation for patient satisfaction and why its Leadership Team is sought after by healthcare systems across the country to share its expertise.
In 1998, Sacred Heart Hospital embarked on an in-depth strategic planning process that identified Service as a primary strength and strategic focus. The Leadership realized that Service should exceed the needs of patients and families in order to address the competitive nature of the healthcare industry. The result of implementing these strategic goals has been a hardwired culture of quality service and positive patient satisfaction, both of which have been shown to improve clinical outcomes and improve physician and employee satisfaction.
