Cis Gruebbel

Cis has close to 30 years of experience in the clinical arena. Most recently she has been the Vice President of Patient Care Services/Chief Nursing Officer at a large community hospital. She was instrumental in stabilizing the patient care division. During this time she has used her leadership skills to:

• Reduce patient care turnover rate from a high of 27% to a low of 12%.
• Vacancy rate from a high of 18% to an all time low of <2%.
• RN satisfaction increased from 4.77 to 5.77.
• Contract labor was reduced from $4.1 million to < $75,000 in 18 months.
• Patient satisfaction improved by 2 standard deviations.

Cis believes that communication is key to success. She is skilled at communicating with all levels; staff, physicians, executives and board members. Her ability to build trusting relationships is one of her greatest strengths. Cis holds a MSN with a focus on clinical leadership and education. She is passionate about patient care and she works diligently to ensure that we all "remember" why we are in the healthcare business.
