Studer Group Forms New Partnership with Covenant Hospice to Address Needs and Services of End-of-Life Care Providers
City, State - Studer Group and Pensacola, Florida-based Covenant Hospice have announced the formation of a partnership to offer a range of new, collaborative services to health care organizations involved in end-of-life care.
Studer Group President and CEO Quint Studer describes the new services as training programs for leaders of organizations that provide palliative, home health, long-term care, and hospice care. In addition, the partnership will offer specialized consultation services and an Institute concentrating on end-of-life issues. Studer Group and Covenant Hospice also will jointly harvest and develop new tools and teaching materials for this specialized area of health care.
Studer Group further announced that the company will conduct a national conference of healthcare leaders at which Covenant Hospice President and CEO Dale O. Knee will present a program on end-of-life care. The first End-of-Life Institute, expected to be held twice annually, will be presented in August, 2006 in Destin, FL.
"As end-of-life care becomes a more and more visible and important part of health care, we believe the time is right for us to focus on this highly specialized area that so greatly affects individuals and families around the world," said Quint Studer. "Covenant Hospice shares our vision for coaching and enhancing end-of-life care. Together, we will help health care leaders hardwire principles and best practices that lead to organizational excellence, improved patient comfort, and increased family satisfaction."
Knee added that the partnership with Studer Group will help Covenant Hospice continue to realize its own vision statement to broaden and fulfill life's journey for all people. "This new partnership is a wonderful opportunity to improve care throughout the nation and other countries for individuals and their loved ones facing end-of-life issues and challenges, while concurrently improving the leadership skills and talents of the Covenant staff by the education and training they will receive by Studer Group coaches," he said.
